Cellular Visualisations
Cellular Visualisations is a studio series that started in 2019 and has run through three iterations. The premise is simple: look at the microscopic world the way a scientist’s instrument would, then design the instrument.
The third film pairs microscopy plates, some generated, some found, with a diagnostic interface that reads them live: scale bars, protein tables, magnification steps, specimen labels, all animated in Cavalry so the UI responds to what’s under the lens rather than sitting on top of it. Diatoms, pollen, crystal fractures and cell division each get a shot, and the film cuts down into stills and vertical triplets for social. The 2019 original, a single Cell Change sequence, closes the gallery.
